APIP Recombinant Protein

Source : E.coli. APIP Human Recombinant produced E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 266 amino acids (1-242) and having a molecular mass of 29.7kDa.APIP is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. APIP catalyzes the dehydration of methylthioribulose-1-phosphate (MTRu-1-P) into 2,3-diketo-5-methylthiopentyl-1-phosphate (DK-MTP-1-P) . APIP has an anti-apoptotic function and inhibits muscle ischemic impairment. APIP inhibits the cytochrome c-dependent and APAF1-mediated cell death.

Purification

Greater than 85% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Components

The APIP solution (0.5mg/1ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 1mM DTT and 20% glycerol.

Storage Conditions

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
