PDXK Recombinant Protein

Source : Escherichia Coli. PDXK Human Recombinant fused with a 24 amino acid His tag at N-terminus produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 336 amino acids (1-312 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 37.6kDa. The PDXK is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. PDXK converts vitamin B6 to Pyridoxal-5-phosphate (PLP), which is a vital cofactor in the intermediate metabolism of amino acids and neurotransmitters. PDXK is cytoplasmic and probably acts as a homodimer. The biological validity of the alternatively spliced transcript variants has not been determined.

Components

The PDXK solution (1 mg/mL) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 1mM DTT and 10% glycerol.

Storage Conditions

PDXK should be stored desiccated below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) . Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
