SULT1A2 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 315 amino acids (1-295 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 36.4kDa.SULT1A2 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Sulfotransferase 1A2 (SULT1A2) belongs to the sulfotransferase family. Sulfotransferase enzymes catalyze the sulfate conjugation of many hormones, neurotransmitters, drugs, and xenobiotic compounds. SULT1A2 mediates the metabolic activation of carcinogenic N-hydroxyarylamines to DNA binding products and might thus participate as a modulating factor of cancer risk.
