PCMT1 Recombinant Protein

Source : Escherichia Coli. PCMT1 Recombinant Human produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 263 amino acids (1-227 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 28.8 kDa. The PCMT1 is fused to 36 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. PCMT1 enzyme catalyses the methyl esterification of L-isoaspartyl and D-aspartyl residues in peptides and proteins that result from spontaneous decomposition of normal L-aspartyl and L-asparaginyl residues. PCMT1 is involved in the repair and/or degradation of damaged proteins.

Storage Conditions

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
