MMAB Recombinant Protein
Source : Escherichia Coli. MMAB Recombinant Human produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 239 amino acids (33-250 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 26.3 kDa. The MMAB is fused to 21 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. MMAB protein catalyzes the last step in the conversion of vitamin B (12) into adenosylcobalamin (AdoCbl), a vitamin B12 containing coenzyme for methylmalonyl-CoA mutase (MCM) . Decreased MMAB activity leads to the inherited disorder vitamin B12 dependent methylmalonic aciduria linked to the cblB complementation group.
