GGH Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 315 amino acids (25-318) and having a molecular mass of 35.9kDa.GGH is fused to a 21 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. GGH is a homodimeric protein which catalyzes the cleavage of the gamma-glutamyl chain of folylpoly-gamma-glutamyl substrates. GGH is a vital enzyme in folyl and antifolyl poly-gamma-glutamate metabolism and it has a significant part in the bioavailability of dietary pteroylpolyglutamates and in the metabolism of antifolates and pteroylpolyglutamates.
