DDT Recombinant Protein
Source : Escherichia Coli. DDT Recombinant E.coli produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 138 amino acids (1-118 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 14.8 kDa. The DDT is fused to 20 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. DDT is an enzyme that catayzes the tautomerization of D-dopachrome to give 5,6-dihydroxyindole (DHI) . DDT is part of the family of lyases, specifically the carboxy-lyases, which cleave carbon-carbon bonds. DDT shares a homologous amino acid sequence (33% identical) with MIF and has similar tautomerase activity. DDT functions a proinflammatory cytokine.
