RBP2 Recombinant Protein

Source : E.coli. RBP2 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 158 amino acids (1-134 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 18kDa. RBP2 is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Retinol Binding Protein-2 (RBP2) which is present in the small intestinal epithelium takes part in the uptake and intracellular metabolism of vitamin A. Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin essential for growth, reproduction, differentiation of epithelial tissues, and vision. RBP2 moderates the supply of retinoic acid to the nuclei of endometrial cells throughout the menstrual cycle.

Components

RBP2 protein solution (1mg/mL) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.1M NaCl and 10% glycerol.

Storage Conditions

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
