OLeptin, MTS Recombinant Protein
Source : Escherichia Coli. Leptin Ovine MTS tagged Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 157 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 17.5 kDa.The Leptin is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. The membrane translocating sequence Tag is composed of 10 amino acids Val-Leu-Leu-Pro-Val-Leu-Leu-Ala-Ala-Pro located at the N-terminus. A 16-kDa peptide hormone secreted from white adipocytes and implicated in the regulation of food intake and energy balance. Leptin provides the key afferent signal from fat cells in the feedback system that controls body fat stores.
