IL 1 alpha Mouse Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 179 amino acids (115-270 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 20.4kDa.IL 1 alpha is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Interleukin-1 alpha is a proinflammatory cytokine produced by a wide variety of cell types, including macrophages, osteoblasts, monocytes and hepatocytes. Circulating levels of are normally low and only rise after stimulation by agents such as those produced byinflammation, infection or microbial endotoxins. IL-1 alpha possesses a wide variety of biological activities and exerts its effects by binding to specific cell surface receptors.
