Polyclonal Antibody to SPZ1/TSP1
Spz1, a bHLH-zip protein, acts as a proto-oncogene regulated by a MAPK signaling pathway that can increase cell proliferation and tumorigenic activity as well as leading to primary tumor formation (15899793) . It is expressed specifically in the testis and epididymis (11165476) . Spz1 is a specific binding partner of the gamma2 catalytic subunit of Phosphatase-1c-gamma (PP1c-gamma) . The interaction between Spz1 and PP1cgamma2 may be required for proper regulation of spermatogenesis and fertility in males.
