Polyclonal Antibody to CD209
CD209 (CD209 molecule) is a transmembrane receptor expressed on the surface of dendritic cells and macrophages and is involved in innate immune system where it recognizes numerous pathogens ranging from parasites to viruses. It has 12 isoforms produced by alternative splicing. CD209 is associated with diseases like secondary syphilis, and dengue disease. Predominantly expressed in dendritic cells and in DC-residing tissues and also found in placental macrophages, endothelial cells of placental vascular channels, peripheral blood mononuclear cells and monocytes.
