Polyclonal Antibody to VAV2
Vav2 is a member of the Vav family that serves as a GRF (guanine nucleotide exchange factor) for the Rho family of Ras-related GTPases. It is widely expressed and regulates processes including cell migration, neuronal development and phagocytosis through interactions with different proteins. Vav2, a GEF for Rac1, RhoA, and Cdc42, is shown to be regulated by a phosphorylation-dependent interaction with PKL (Paxillin kinase linker) . PKL is required for Vav2 activation downstream of integrin engagement and epidermal growth factor (EGF) stimulation. During the process of spinal neurons, the Vav2 activity is necessary for optimal neurite outgrowth and promotes branching by targeting GEF activity to branch points.
