3,3',5,5'-Tetramethylbenzidine, Liquid Chromogenic Substrate

TMB Ready-To-Use chromogenic substrate contains 3,3',5,5'- tetramethylbenzidine and H202 in a Citric Acid buffer and is recommended for use in ELISA procedures. TMB is a substrate for horseradish peroxidase. It produces a soluble blue color product that can be read spectrophotometrically at 370 or 620-650 nm. The reaction may be amplified threefold when stopped with acid, generating a yellow color with its absorption maximum at 450nm. After stopping, it should be read within 30 minutes.Not recommended for use in immunohistochemical or blotting assays. Stability: Minimum of 1 year if stored at 2-8°C.
