Laplace’s Rail

It demonstrates the action of a magnetic field on a free moving current carrying conductor placed on two current carrying elements. A transparent acrylic sheet right angled at their ends fitted with two brass rods 120mm length parallel to each other. The extreme ends of brass rods connected with 4mm sockets to accelerate one 80mm copper rod under electric and magnetic field through high current power supply and a U shape permanent magnet respectively.
