This model shows the most important types of rupture of the Earth’s crust with the displacement of one side of the fracture relative to the other (faults) and without it (joint) . As regards to the joint, the model represents closed and open fractures (the letter with crush breccia) . As regards the faults, normal and thrust are represented.
