Simple Form Capacitor

A simple and economical device for introducing the basic concepts of capacitance to students. The apparatus consists of two formed aluminum plates, each provided with a 4mm screw termil at its rear. The capacitance surfaces facing one another are about 10cm square. Demonstrates the effect of varying dielectric thickness and the separation between the two conducting plates on the electric field between them.
