Radiant Heat Source, Low Voltage

Provides a low voltage heat radiation source operating on 12V with a current rating of about 8A. Heating coil wound on an insulated former and suspended in a U shaped aluminium enclosure through pillars and is connected to 4mm sockets for electrical connection. The enclosure has lining of heat resistance material on the outside and an aperture of about 28mm. The complete assembly is mounted on a metal rod 150x8mm for supporting the apparatus on a suitable retort stand.
