Free Fall Apparatus

Students can observe and measure the acceleration of a falling object. The unique drop and catch design, when used with the Fun Stand, allows an object to fall directly through a pair of photogates. The exact value for gravity can then be calculated for your local geographic area. The two included marbles have different masses, so the experiment can be repeated mutliple times to illustrate the universal effect of gravity. Includes a wooden dropping device, catching device, two marbles of different mass, two mounting screws, instructions, and activity guide. Size: 10 x 10 x 5cm. Note: Requires the Fun Stand and Photogate System.
