Multiple Pendulum Set

With this simple set-up your students can easily explore the effect of length, mass and amplitude on the period and find the significance of the spring constant. The pendulums hang from a horizontal rod that clamps to a 107cm vertical rod in an iron tripod base; the vertical rod also supports a meter stick. Includes one drilled 19mm brass bob and nylon cord, three springs: 25mm, 50mm and 75mm long. We add a machined aluminum weight holder and three slotted brass weights — 10, 20 and 50g — for studying displacement as a function of mass. Complete with tripod base, meter stick, clamps and complete instructions.
