SHC (SH2 domain containing) transforming protein 1 Adenovirus (Ad-SHC1)

SH2/SH3 domain adaptor proteins scaffold catalytic signals to cell surface receptors and downstream intracellular proteins and play a critical role in regulating tyrosine kinase signalling pathways. One major function of these adaptors is to recruit proline-rich effector molecules to tyrosine-phosphorylated kinases or their substrates.
