1. Measured in antiviral assay using L929 cells infected with vesicular stomatitisvirus (VSV) . The ED50 for this effect is typically 1-5 ng/mL. 2. Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized rat IFNG-Fc (cat:80234-R02H) at 10 μg/ml (100 μl/well) can bind biotinylated rat IFNGR-Fc (Cat:80182-R02H) . The EC50 of biotinylated rat IFNGR-Fc (Cat:80182-R02H) is 20.1-46.9 ng/ml.

The secreted recombinant rat IFNG/Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer. The reduced monomer comprises 375 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 42.5 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the rat IFNG/Fc monomer is approximately 52 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
