Measured by its ability to bind biotinylated Human CEACAM8-His (Cat:11729-H08H) in functional ELISA. 3. Measured by its ability to inhibit IL­2 secretion by HuT 78 human cutaneous T cell lymphoma cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 2­13 μg/mL.

The secreted recombinant human CEACAM1 comprises 405 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 44.8 kDa. As a result of glycosylation, the apparent molecular mass of rhCEACAM1 is approximately 60.5 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
