Casein, bovine beta A2, Bovine, Purified Native Protein

Protein is provided as 50 μL aliquot containing protease inhibitor at 0.4 mg/mL in TBS, pH 8.5. Does not contain preservatives. Use sterile methods when handling. Tris-based buffers are subject to pH changes with temperature. Keep protein solutions at pH 8.0-8.5 for best results.

Protein is shipped on ice packs. Upon receipt, divide into aliquots and store product long-term at -10°C to -20°C. Do not store at -80°C. Purified proteins will precipitate from the solution when cold or at a pH below 8.0. Purified Caseins are very sensitive to acidic conditions and are insoluble in neutral water. They do solubilize in alkali salts such as sodium acetate or sodium oxalate at pH readings over pH 8. Care in handling & storing these purified proteins is advised. Store working aliquots short-term at 2-8°C as an undiluted liquid for one week. AVOID MULTIPLE FREEZE THAWS
