Anti-IL-8 CXCL8 Antibody

Boster Bio Anti-IL-8 CXCL8 Antibody (Catalog # A00423) . Tested in ELISA, WB applications. This antibody reacts with Human.

Product Specifications

Background

Interleukin-8 is a chemokine produced by macrophages and other cell types such as epithelial cells. Human IL-8 (CXCL8) antibody is commonly used in many experiments focused around inflammation. Anti-IL-8 antibody is ideal for investigators involved in Cancer, Immunology and Cardiovascular research.

Synonyms

Anti-CXCL 8, CXCL8, 310C, AMCF 1, AMCF1, b ENAP, Beta thromboglobulin like protein, CXC chemokine ligand 8, interleukin8, K60, LECT, LUCT, Interleukin 8, IL-8

Host

Rabbit

Reactivity

Human

Immunogen

The whole rabbit serum was prepared by repeated immunizations with recombinant human IL-8 produced in E.coli.

ELISA, IHC, IP, WB

Field of Research

Angiogenesis, Cancer, Cardiovascular, Cytokines, Immunology, Innate Immunity, Interleukins, Invasion/Microenvironment

Purification

Anti-IL 8 antiserum has been heated to 56°C for 30 minutes. The antiserum detects recombinant and native IL-8 present in body fluids and cell supernatants in ELISA. Although likely to be functional, this antiserum has not been evaluated in other assays, including neutralization and immunohistochemistry.

Concentration

75 mg/mL by Refractometry

Form

Liquid (sterile filtered)

Function

IL-8 is a chemotactic factor that attracts neutrophils, basophils, and T-cells, but not monocytes. It is also involved in neutrophil activation. It is released from several cell types in response to an inflammatory stimulus. IL-8 (6-77) has a 5-10-fold higher activity on neutrophil activation, IL-8 (5-77) has increased activity on neutrophil activation and IL-8 (7-77) has a higher affinity to receptors CXCR1 and CXCR2 as compared to IL-8 (1-77), respectively.
