Acts upstream of or within negative regulation of male germ cell proliferation. Located in extracellular region. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; central nervous system; genitourinary system; integumental system; and sensory organ. Human ortholog (s) of this gene implicated in carotid artery disease. Orthologous to human PTGDS (prostaglandin D2 synthase) .
