Human P-Cadherin-3 CDH3 ELISA Kit PicoKine®

Cadherins are calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion molecules that mediate cell-cell binding in a homophilic manner. They play an important role in the growth and development of cells via the mechanisms of control of tissue architecture and the maintenance of tissue integrity. Cadherin expression is regulated spatially as well as temporally. Cadherins are thought to play an important role in development and maintenance of tissues through selective cell-cell adhesion activity and may be involved also in the invasion and metastasis of malignant tumors. Cadherin regulates dendritic spine morphogenesis. A cadherin gene cluster is mapped to a region of chromosome 5 subject to frequent allelic loss in carcinoma. The standard product used in this kit is recombinant P-Cadherin with the molecular mass of 120-130Kda after glycosylation.

Cadherins are calcium-dependent cell adhesion proteins. They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells; cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types.

Aliquot 0.1 ml per well of the 10,000 pg/ml, 5,000 pg/ml, 2,500 pg/ml, 1,250 pg/ml, 625 pg/ml, 312 pg/ml, 156 pg/ml human P-Cadherin standard solutions into the precoated 96-well plate. Add 0.1 ml of the sample diluent buffer into the control well (Zero well) . Add 0.1 ml of each properly diluted sample of human cell culture supernatants or serum to each empty well. See “Sample Dilution Guideline” above for details. It is recommended that each human P-Cadherin standard solution and each sample be measured in duplicate.

Microplate Reader capable of reading absorbance at 450nm. Incubator. Automated plate washer (optional) . Pipettes and pipette tips capable of precisely dispensing 0.5 μl through 1 ml volumes of aqueous solutions. Multichannel pipettes are recommended for large amount of samples. Deionized or distilled water. 500ml graduated cylinders. Test tubes for dilution.
