Anti-HDLBP Antibody Picoband®

Vigilin is a 110 kDa protein that in humans is encoded by the HDLBP gene. The protein encoded by this gene binds high density lipoprotein (HDL) and may function to regulate excess cholesterol levels in cells. The encoded protein also binds RNA and can induce heterochromatin formation.

E.coli-derived human HDLBP recombinant protein (Position: H15-A1231) . Human HDLBP shares 97.9% and 97.6% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat HDLBP, respectively.

Downstream effector of TOR signaling pathway involved in osmotic stress response. Could be involved in the control of plant growth and development. Phosphorylates the ribosomal proteins P14, P16 and S6. Functions as a repressor of cell proliferation and required for maintenance of chromosome stability and ploidy levels through the RBR1-E2F pathway.
