Anti-PGAP1 Antibody Picoband®

Post-GPI attachment to proteins 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PGAP1 gene. The protein encoded by this gene functions early in the glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) biosynthetic pathway, catalyzing the inositol deacylation of GPI. The encoded protein is required for the production of GPI that can attach to proteins, and this may be an important factor in the transport of GPI-anchored proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi. Defects in this gene are a cause an autosomal recessive form of cognitive impairment.

E.coli-derived human PGAP1 recombinant protein (Position: K166-R904) . Human PGAP1 shares 89% and 88.5% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat PGAP1, respectively.

Downstream effector of TOR signaling pathway involved in osmotic stress response. Could be involved in the control of plant growth and development. Phosphorylates the ribosomal proteins P14, P16 and S6. Functions as a repressor of cell proliferation and required for maintenance of chromosome stability and ploidy levels through the RBR1-E2F pathway.
