Anti-LOC134147/CMBL Antibody Picoband® Fluoro647 Conjugated

Product Specifications

Background

CMBL is a cysteine hydrolase of the dienelactone hydrolase family that is highly expressed in liver cytosol. CMBL preferentially cleaves cyclic esters, and it activates medoxomil-ester prodrugs in which the medoxomil moiety is linked to an oxygen atom.

Synonyms

Meiotic recombination protein REC8 homolog; Cohesin Rec8p; REC8; REC8L1

Gene Name

Cmbl

Gene ID

69574

UniProt

Host

Rabbit

Reactivity

Mouse, Rat

Cross Reactivity

No cross-reactivity with other proteins.

Immunogen

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of mouse LOC134147/CMBL, which shares 88.2% and 94.1% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with human and rat LOC134147/CMBL, respectively.

Clonality

Polyclonal

Tissue Specificity

Expressed in testis and thymus. Expressed in the B-cell lines WI-L2-NS and Namalwa.

Applications

Flow Cytometry

Field of Research

Vasculature

Purification

Immunogen affinity purified.

Form

Liquid

Function

Required during meiosis for separation of sister chromatids and homologous chromosomes. Proteolytic cleavage of REC8 on chromosome arms by separin during anaphase I allows for homologous chromosome separation in meiosis I and cleavage of REC8 on centromeres during anaphase II allows for sister chromatid separation in meiosis II.
