Anti-HMGN2 Antibody Picoband® Fluoro594 Conjugated

Product Specifications

Background

Non-histone chromosomal protein HMG-17 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the HMGN2 gene. It is mapped to 1p36.11. The protein encoded by this gene binds nucleosomal DNA and is associated with transcriptionally active chromatin. Along with a similar protein, HMGN1, the encoded protein may help maintain an open chromatin configuration around transcribable genes. The protein has also been found to have antimicrobial activity against bacteria, viruses and fungi.

Synonyms

NACHT, LRR and PYD domains-containing protein 2; Nucleotide-binding site protein 1; PYRIN domain and NACHT domain-containing protein 1; PYRIN-containing APAF1-like protein 2; NLRP2; NALP2; NBS1; PAN1; PYPAF2
