BioSTEM stem cell medium - serum-free, 500 ml
BioSTEM Kit- the revolution for your stem cell culture! Our BioSTEM Kit consists of an optimised, chemically defined culture medium for mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) and an all-in-one supplement of specific growth factors. In combination, theserum-free BioSTEM stem cell mediumpromotes the efficient proliferation of your MSCs without differentiation and with high viability. Our BioSTEM kit achieves improved cell adhesion of your MSCs anddoes not require coating of the cell culture vessels with a feeder layer.BioSTEM Kit consists of:BioSTEM Stem Cell Medium: The chemically defined medium is optimised for MSCs and contains no animal ingredients and has no batch variations, maximising the reproducibility of your cell culture. The medium contains L-glutamine.BioSTEM Supplement: The All-In-One BioSTEM Supplement is a ready-to-use mix of specific growth factors for MSCs and can be easily added. The highly purified growth factors significantly improve cell viability and maintain the multipotency of your MSCs.PropertiesSerum-free- Chemically defined medium for serum-free cell culture of MSCsXeno-free- Without animal componentsAdherence w/o feeder layer- Improved adhesionImproved cell viability & potency- Due to highly pure recombinant growth factorsHigh reproducibility- Defined medium without batch-to-batch variationsUltra low endotoxin- High safety for your stem cellsGood to knowMesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are multipotent adult stem cells that can be isolated from various tissues such as bone marrow, adipose tissue or umbilical cord tissue. They are characterized by specific surface markers (CD73, CD90, CD105) and have the ability to differentiate into almost all cell types of the body. As a result, MSCs have great potential for cell therapeutic approaches and clinical research. After isolation, stem cells are generally cultivated in cell culture media containing specific nutrients, growth factors and serum (often FBS) to promote growth and proliferation. The problem here is the variable composition of foetal bovine serum. The biologically obtained serum has high batch-to-batch variability, which can affect the viability and potency of MSCs as well as the reproducibility of the experiments. Often, in vitro cultivation of MSCs also requires plating with feeder cells to improve stem cell adherence. Our BioSTEM kit allows serum-free cultivation of your MSCs without a feeder layer and without batch variations. For an optimised stem cell culture and reproducible results!
