Tris-EDTA (TE) appears as white instant granules. Each pouch makes 1 L of 1x TE solution conveniently with a simple procedure. 1x TE buffer contains 10 mM Tris-HCl and 1 mM EDTA, with pH 8.0 at 25°C. TE buffer is commonly used as a solvent or preservative to store and dilute DNA or RNA.
