NutriCulture DMSO (Dimethyl Sulfoxide), Sterile, is a colorless, polar, aprotic organic solvent used in chemical research. It is miscible with water and many other organic solvents. NutriCulture DMSO (Dimethyl Sulfoxide), Sterile, is also widely used in polymerase chain reactions (PCR) as a co-solvent, helping to inhibit the formation of secondary structures from DNA fragments and as a cryoprotectant vitrification agent for the preservation of cells, tissues and organs via prevention of ice crystal formation during cryopreservation.
