EcoZyme Proteinase K

EcoZyme Proteinase K is a pre-made molecular biology grade enzyme solution which is supplied at a concentration of 20 mg/ml in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 1 mM calcium chloride and 50% glycerol. EcoZyme Proteinase K from the fungus Tritirachium album is a stable and highly reactive nonspecific serine protease that is useful for general digestion of proteins. EcoZyme Proteinase K is capable of inactivating RNases and DNases and is used in the isolation or preparation of high molecular weight nucleic acids. EcoZyme Proteinase K is stable at various temperatures and may be used at 56°C for up to 4 hours, or 37°C for overnight incubations.
