2,4-Dimethoxybenzaldehyde is a tumor initiator with genotoxic property. 2,4-Dimethoxybenzaldehyde can induce benign papilloma development and converse to squamous cell carcinoma in the skin of susceptible mouse models. 2,4-Dimethoxybenzaldehyde can be used for skin cancer research[1].
