Fluorescein-maleimide
Fluorescein-maleimide is a fluorescein dye linker containing a maleimide group. The maleimides in Fluorescein-maleimide react with thiol-containing compounds or biomolecules to form thioester bonds between pH 6.5 and 7.5. Fluorescein-maleimide is specifically designed for fluorescent labeling of proteins, nucleic acids, or other molecules containing one or more thiol groups[1].
