Dichlormate
Dichlormate is an inhibitor of normal carotenogenesis in etiolated wheat. Dichlormate can lead to accumulation of carotenoid precursors in plants. Dichlormate exhibits phytotoxicity via inhibiting the synthesis of carotenoids and to the consequent photodestruction of cholorophyll and chloroplast disruption[1].
