2-Acetoxyacorenone (compound 8) is a sesquiterpenoid, which can be isolated from the rhizome of Acorus tatarinowii. 2-Acetoxyacorenone has potent AChE and β-BACE1 inhibitory activity and can be used in the study of Alzheimer's disease[1].
