Indicaxanthin is a natural water-soluble betalain, presenting a yellow-orange color. Indicaxanthin possesses free radical scavenging ability and can inhibit lipid peroxidation, reducing the formation of malondialdehyde (MDA) . Indicaxanthin can be used in the research of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes[1].
