1- (Bromomethyl) pyrene is a Br compound with antitumor activity. 1- (Bromomethyl) pyrene is widely used in the synthesis of fluorophores for the fluorescent sensing of variety of analytes. 1- (Bromomethyl) pyrene can be also used in the synthesis of photoinitiators (PIs) [1][2].
