2-Aminoanthracene (Anthracen-2-amine) is a nitrogen substituted polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon. 2-Aminoanthracene is mutagenic and carcinogenic. 2-Aminoanthracene acts by intercalating into DNA, causing structural distortion and interfering with DNA replication and transcription[1].
