Uricase, candida utilis
Uricase, candida utilis is a peroxidase enzyme. It catalyzes the oxidation of uric acid, converting it into the soluble product allantoin. Uricase, candida utilis can be used for the determination of uric acid levels in serum. A deficiency of uricase in mammals can lead to kidney diseases caused by the accumulation of uric acid. Uricase, candida utilis can be utilized in research on gout and hyperuricemia[1].
