Human Defensin-5 (1-9)

Human Defensin-5 (1-9) is an orally active antimicrobial peptide. Human Defensin-5 (1-9) can inhibit metabolic disorders induced by Western-style diet (WSD) or Western-style diet with fructose (WSDF) . Human Defensin-5 (1-9) enhances intestinal barrier function by upregulating the gene expression of ileal tight junction protein and mucins. Human Defensin-5 (1-9) can be used for the study of obesity and related metabolic diseases[1].
