Human lipoproteins, intermediate density play a role in the endogenous lipid transport system. Human lipoproteins, intermediate density is produced by the interaction of VLDL and lipoprotein lipases. When Human lipoproteins, intermediate density receives cholesterol esters from high-density lipoprotein (HDL), it is converted into low-density lipoprotein (LDL), which is rich in cholesterol esters[1].
