Human apolipoprotein AII is the major apolipoproteins of HDL that is synthesised in liver. Human apolipoprotein AII is a 100 amino acid (aa) precursor preproapo A-II. Preproapo A-II is cleaved co-translationally (18 aa) to proapo A-II[1].
