Masticadienonic acid
Masticadienonic acid is an orally active and selective inhibitor of MAPK (p38, ERK, JNK) and NF-κB pathways and an agonist of the Nrf2 pathway. Masticadienonic acid reduces the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNFα, IL-1β, and IL-6, restores the expression of intestinal tight junction proteins (ZO-1, occludin), and modulates gut microbiota. Masticadienonic acid is promising for research of inflammatory bowel disease[1].
