Valechlorine, an iridoid, is an autophagy enhancer. Valechlorine is effective in alleviating fatty liver by acting as an autophagy enhancer to break down lipid droplets. Valechlorine can be used for the study of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) [1].
