Vitexin-2''-O-glucoside
Vitexin-2''-O-glucoside (Flavosativaside) is a potent and selective alpha-glucosidase inhibitor found in hawthorn leaf flavonoids. Vitexin-2''-O-glucoside can reversibly inhibit the α-glucosidase activity on the brush border of the small intestine, and its inhibitory effect is superior to that of the Acarbose. Vitexin-2''-O-glucoside can be used for the research of type 2 diabetes[1].
