Cimicifugic acid A
Cimicifugic acid A is a cytotoxic caffeic acid derivative that can be isolated from the rhizomes of Cimicifuga heracleifolia. Cimicifugic acid A shows cytotoxic activity against cancer cells, and increases expression of cleaved PARP, thereby exhibiting pro-apoptotic activity. Cimicifugic acid A can be used for colon cancer research[1].
